SUMMARY OF DUTIES :
- Must be available for daily call periods as assigned by Manager / Lead. This person will be required to work in a lockdown facility due to the high dollar value of the inventory. This position :
- Will be filled as a Guaranteed Extra Board position.
- Required to load and unload trucks, including wheel trucks and empty trash dumpsters as needed.
- Must be able to operate all shop equipment.
- Receives, issues, and transfers material using the on line BOL and Amtrak’s Inventory System, SAP.
- Restocking Supply Pro Vending machine as needed and creating material transfers for supplies.
- Responsible for accurate cycle inventories as well as daily inventory and communicating any discrepancies. Will also be involved with root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies.
- Process Warranty material through Amtrak’s SAP & SAGE software, including contacting vendor for RMA documentation for proper reconciliation.
- Communicate and assist with inventory and delivery of bulk containers of car wash soap. When instructed, contact vendors when delivery is needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Warehouse forklift, Electric pallet jacks, Shipping and Receiving tools Crimpers etc etc. Gen Warehouse Materials Receiving and Stocking and packaging procedures.
- SAP Warehouse Management Software application for managing inventory experience a plus. Safety and Security knowledge and experience in a lock down Materials Warehouse Facility.
- Must maintain neat and clean work area.
- Adhere to facility Safety Policy.
- Must be forklift qualified and have a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Will work in office and warehouse as needed
- Complete other duties as assigned
This person will cover any sick, vacation, personal days for two work shifts, 2nd shift 3pm-11pm and or 3rd shift 11pm-7am be on call for a 24 / 7 / 365 Warehouse.
This position when not needed to cover absences for either 2nd or 3rd shift will work 6 : 00am - 2pm Mon - Thurs & Sun. and will have Fri-Sat as rest days.
This person will work guaranteed 40 hrs per week.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Amtrak Material Control Department experience.
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS :
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The hourly rate is $25.54 - $34.05 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
