What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bumper Assembly Operator position at AmTrim?
Job Responsibilities
- Assembling and/or packing bumpers/cross members according to customer requirements.
- Maintaining production schedules and ensuring jobs are run according to Process Data Sheets (PDS) procedures.
- Staging and organizing materials including packing, assembly parts, subcomponents, and miscellaneous items.
- Operating tow motor for changeover, staging, and shipping or loading of product.
- Maintaining product quality as well as productivity.
- Following all of the safety procedures: Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Equipment Safety Analysis (ESA), and Area Safety Analysis (ASA).
- Following all environmental compliance requirements.
- Communicating effectively with Supervisor, Co-workers, Engineers, and Management about all relevant issues and/or concerns.
- Changing over fixtures and/or set ups for various product types and maintaining fixture maintenance.
- Maintaining and/or documenting of quality and productivity records as required.
- Performing housekeeping as necessary.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience Required
- High school level reading and writing skills
- Mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Tow motor/lift truck license
- Basic math
- Basic hand tools
- Oral and written communication skills
Working Conditions
- Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally on a repetitive basis
- Attention to detail
- Weekly and weekend overtime as required
- Accountability for quality/productivity and safety goals
- Standing, walking and/or moving for periods of time in excess of two (2) hour
- Repetitive turning and/or lifting
- Perform position requirements while wearing eye, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required
