Job Summary:
The Plant Controller will work as part of a collaborative finance team, while leading the financial function for two business units and manage Corporate Accounts Receivable Department.
Job Responsibilities:
Plant Controller
- Manage the closing process for the ledgers of the two business units including journal entries, report compilation, revenue and expense analysis and account reconciliations. This includes ensuring the ledgers are incompliance with GAAP.
- Develop annual budgets and analysis.
- Assist with year-end external audit preparation including key account reconciliations and other auditor requests.
- Cost tracking for fixed asset and tooling projects.
- Analyzing and reporting financial data for plants including scrap reporting, efficiency reporting, and labor utilization reporting.
- Update, publish, and provide analysis on Product Line Profit Reports.
- Manage inventory reporting and standard costs calculations.
- Leading annual physical inventory activities by overseeing process and driving accurate results.
- Participate with plant management team to analyze data and drive improvements in processes.
- Responsible for enforcing accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as requested.
Accounts Receivable Manager
- Manage two salary non-exempt employees.
- Lead Accounts Receivable Department in receivables reports, administrating meetings on receivables status, and guiding decision-making pertaining to receivables.
- Run credit analysis on potential new customers, set up new customer accounts in operating system, and maintain appropriate credit lines and status.
