What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Lead position at AMZ Manufacturing?
The quality control lead has responsibility for overseeing the quality systems, performing process control tests, and inspecting customer parts. The mission of this employee is to drive quality process improvement, while maintaining a high level of quality control at all times.
**Openings are on 1st and 2nd shift** Training may involve the candidate working a mid-shift (10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.)
Job Requirements
- Under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager, delegate daily tasks and goals to Quality Control Inspectors based on production and scheduling needs. Act as the Management Designee as necessary.
- Perform Final Inspection of each part prior to shipping, including but not limited to verifying that all purchase order, part drawing, specification, and part marking requirements are met in addition to completion of internal documentation.
- Perform inspections on monthly process control test panels and coordinate testing with outside suppliers.
- Fill in for inspectors and perform daily quality functions when inspectors are absent or at the direction of the Quality Control Manager.
- Work with the Quality Control Manager to develop systems that enable efficient quality checks throughout the facility.
- Work with the Quality Control Manager to develop and implement monitoring tools to track quality metrics and assist in preparing the data for analysis.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the relevant customer, industry, and government specifications.
- Ability to interpret purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and other instructions that communicate the service to be provided for a given part.
- Assist in sorting parts, counting parts, and packaging parts when necessary.
