What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Location Manager position at AMZ?
Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to)
- Responsible as the Acting Manager on duty when the Location Manager is absent
- Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles is completed routinely
- Assist Location Manager with recruiting, training, and managing all staff to ensure flawless execution of daily deliveries
- Assist Location Manager with daily and weekly KPI monitoring to ensure service levels are met or exceeded
- Assist Location Manager with tracking all performance related statistics by team and developing and executing performance plans to address deficiencies
- Performs duties as a delivery driver as needed to ensure route coverage and/or performance levels
- Oversee accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles
- Assists the delivery teams in accomplishing delivery and quality standards
- Assists Location Manager to ensure all operations are operating in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements
- Conduct ride behind and evaluation of contractors to determine skill levels and development opportunities
- Assists Location Manager coordinate with client to ensure that all customers are satisfied
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all team members and client representatives
Requirements
- MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN DOT CERTIFICATION
- Higher education and/or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of DOT compliance
- Flexible Schedule – Must be able to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Handle all needs of the customers
- Integrity in all things
