Summary
Anaconda is seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our growing company. This role combines strategic contribution with hands-on development work focused on our public web properties and our emerging marketplace platform product. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your skills and passion in support of the data science community, helping to drive new user and customer acquisition and deliver a cohesive experience as users transition to our platform offering. You will be instrumental in the continued optimization of our public-facing web presence and the development of new offerings.
What You’ll Do:
- Play a significant role in improving engagement and conversion on our external web properties, recommending and executing enhancements and changes to ensure that we convert both B2B software buyers and individual data science practitioners effectively into various customer journeys
- Develop and communicate the roadmap for anaconda.com and its integration with our platform environment, and ensure the timely delivery of committed functionality and features
- Collaborate with marketing, design, UX, product, and engineering colleagues to deliver a cohesive web experience that engages and converts users, tells our brand story, and helps us attract new partners and employees
- Establish, instrument, and report web, SEO, and conversion KPIs, both on regular cadence and ad-hoc
- Collaborate with external web agency to delivery expectations, priorities, and budget constraints
Required experience and skills:
- 5 years of experience developing websites focused on both individual user acquisition/conversion and B2B buyers
- 3 years of website and messaging strategy experience
- 3 years of hands-on development experience with web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience serving an external client through an agency or serving in house marketing teams
- Functional knowledge or hands-on development experience with commercial REST web services and APIs (i.e Marketo, Stripe, Salesforce)
- SEO and Google Analytics proficiency
- Experience with Content Management Systems
- Strong orientation toward rapid iteration, testing, and data-driven decision making
- Energetic, proactive, and creative approach to your work - “no job too big or too small” orientation
- Emotional intelligence and relationship skills to build productive collaboration within Anaconda
