The Appraisal Reviewer position will perform appraisal reviews of all types of real estate, with emphasis on residential appraisals, to ensure compliance with regulatory (FIRREA) and (USPAP) guidelines and Anchor Loans internal appraisal and evaluation policy and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Analyze residential real estate appraisals using USPAP and FIRREA standards
• Use appropriate valuation methodology/application to review and prepare assessments of appraisal reports for loan application and loan servicing
• Prepare appraisal review decisions in accordance with the service level guidelines per department
• Respond to inquiries from production staff, underwriters and members of management regarding review decisions in order to resolve valuation issues
• Responsible for inspection of collateral as part of the review process when necessary or appropriate. Timely appraisal reviews for origination, quality control and/or for other purposes. 
• Assist the Valuations Manager and appraisal coordinators in selecting the approved appraiser panel and in monitoring the quality of the product received
• Responsible for making recommendations to the Valuations Manager and senior staff regarding the continuation, limitations, or removal of an appraiser from the approved appraiser panel. 
• Coordinate with Capital Markets department personnel regarding appraisal issues within the scope of the credit management process as required. 
• Assist appraisal staff, underwriters, and others by providing technical expertise and mentoring
• Maintain databases that relate to tracking market data, appraiser quality, etc., to support senior management reporting
• Maintain a working knowledge of all legal and regulatory compliance issues as they pertain to this position.
• Perform administrative duties in support of the Valuations Department

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Appraisal Review in a mortgage/underwriting capacity with a mortgage lender
• Advanced knowledge of Fannie Mae Collateral Requirements
• Expertise within FNMA/FHLMC and FHA guidelines
