Field Integration Specialist
Summary
This Field Integration Specialist works with the ANDE sales and technical staff along with the customer's operational, technical staff and their vendors to quickly and efficiently identify, implement and troubleshoot integrated rapid DNA capabilities. This position is hands-on including pre-implementation technical data gathering through pre-sales site visits, actual system installation and commissioning at customer locations as well as on-site data monitoring and collection. Responsibilities also include responding in the event of a system failure to troubleshoot, repair/remediation and resolution. The successful candidate will have field experience in both pre and post sales activities and will represent ANDE utilizing their professional customer service and communication skills. The position is US-based (with a strong preference to be near the ANDE Headquarters in Longmont, CO) and travel up to 75% may be required.
This position is responsible for implementation of ANDE Rapid DNA solutions within the jail booking environment that requires interface with legacy IT systems used within the booking facility, or deployed at a state or regional level, and booking room based Rapid DNA system generated results to produce an FBI CODIS entry record. The identified solution may apply to a single booking location, region or state depending on the nature of the legacy systems world.
Our goal is to allow agencies to quickly deploy ANDE technology in the booking setting without making significant changes to their legacy systems prior to being able to deploy and begin to use our systems. To support our customers, ANDE has several system interconnections and data manipulation tools that can be deployed and configured to interface with legacy systems with no or only minor configuration changes needed to legacy systems or networks.
Responsibilities
· Perform site visits to identify existing booking technology and determine available means of data/systems interconnection.
· Design the implementation solution for the site, based on site visit learnings, state and federal requirements, and with knowledge of ANDE’s solution set,. This includes production of a system block diagram and a written discussion of networking, security and application configurations that would be required for implementation.
· Conduct web-based and phone-based IT integration support for ANDE Field Team members and end-users.
· Provide product support for installed systems as needed
· Create technical work instructions and update standard documentation with troubleshooting information.
· Utilize standardized Customer Support ticket-based tracking system to ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of all customer issues.
Skills and Experience
· Must be knowledgeable of:, IP Network Topology and Components, Windows Systems Operations, Network File and Print Services, Data File Analysis, Serial Data Communications, UPS,
· Experience with data system test tools/equipment including IP network analyzer, file examination tools, data scope and other test equipment and tools including DVM, cable testers.
· Experience with constructing serial data and network cables.
· Experience designing and producing system diagrams including knowledge of computer-based engineering and diagram drawing tools.
· Familiarity with legacy and contemporary computer system peripheral interface types including the ability to identify connection type by visual recognition of visible connectors.
· Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use general electronics tools including handheld manual, power tools and electronics soldering.
· Ability to design and produce project plans, test plans, diagrams, as-built documentation, system security descriptions and other written documents necessary to support integration of ANDE systems with other customer IT systems, prototyping experience helpful.
· Ability to conduct meetings with IT professionals to gain information about interconnection with their systems, and to identify problems, solutions and implement integrated systems.
· Ability to deploy specialized instruments and associated networking and connectivity hardware.
· Professional experience in network, system and basic electronics troubleshooting is required.
· Experience with IT systems in jails, including JMS and Livescan Systems, is strongly preferred. Knowledge of CJIS Security Rules preferred.
· Prior experience in a customer or technical support organization.
· Able to obtain and maintain CJIS security clearance.
· Preference for prior US government security clearances
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English.
· Demonstration of a high degree of customer service and care.
· Strong technical and scientific aptitude with keen desire for learning and advancement.
· A natural problem solver with tenacity, collaborative negotiation skills, and strong resolve.

Travel and Qualifications
· A professional and independent traveler.
· Ability to travel on short notice to customer locations, in the US but may also include global destinations.
· Travel up to 75% is required for this position.
· A valid driver’s license with no restrictions or extenuating circumstances; must be able to rent and drive SUVs and small trucks.
· A valid USA passport or ability to obtain is required.
· Ability to perform essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping and may include lifting and carrying heavy materials up to or exceeding 50 pounds at varying distances up to 50 feet.
