The Role

Andersen Tax, ranked as a great place to work,  is looking for a tenacious, detail-oriented member to our U.S. marketing team, based in our Metro D.C. location. The Marketing Associate role supports our firm’s national business development strategy, which is highly focused on quality relationships with clients, referral sources, centers of influence, and internal relationships at all levels including Managing Directors, management and the marketing team. Consequently, this person should have top-tier project coordination skills, experience working with diverse personality types and work style and enjoy doing research on companies, people, and various market landscapes.

 

 

The role requires 3-6 years of research, data-driven experience in a project management, marketing or business development strategy position in which he/she had sole responsibility for the development and management of a go-to-market program. This role does not have supervisory responsibility or support staff. This position will report to the Firmwide/National Marketing Director and the local Metro D.C. Office Managing Director. The role will have a flexible hybrid remote & in-person work schedule.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and implement national and local business development practices and strategies to ensure an increase in activity level.
  • Foster and develop relationships and work closely with local office management in their business development activities. This includes coordinating internal business development meetings, managing external events/relationship building activities, and enhancing the market activity of service line practitioners.
  • Design and execute strategies to ensure appropriate follow-up with marketing initiatives. Measure success against defined business goals (including tracking and analysis of activity and results).
  • Monitor market developments and trends and perform data analysis research to identify opportunities within specific client segments. This will result into the ability produce segmented targeting lists, lead development research and client data analysis.
  • Work closely with other members of the marketing team to facilitate information sharing and ensure seamless execution of overall marketing approaches including national business and service line processes.

  • Provide a fresh set of eyes to recognize new and existing opportunities that will build up the top line while preserving the quality of the bottom line.
  • Feed key intel to members of the marketing team and our practice personnel.
  • Help the practice personnel stay on top of all prospect opportunities that are in the pipeline.

The Requirements

  • 5-7 years of project management/marketing experience, preferably in professional services;
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or a related field;
  • Strategic and tactical marketing experience, including marketing planning and execution and project management;
  • Experience in writing and editing marketing materials as well as creating and working with spreadsheets, graphs and database management;
  • Expertise in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, results oriented, detail oriented, and proactive;
  • Very strong attention to detail and effective project management skills;
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them to high standards under time constraints;
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with various key stakeholders, leveraging flexibility and superior decision making;
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels, especially senior management;
  • Excellent writing skills and experience developing internal communications to enhance business development efforts;
  • Functions autonomously with a sense of urgency;
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations in a reliable manner;
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
