Anderson County School System is accepting applications for Student Teachers (or Interns).
This position is categorized as an Educational Assistant (EA) who works with students under the direction of a licensed teacher. The Educational Assistant is engaged in all learning activities as directed by the teacher. All Educational Assistants employed by Anderson County Schools are required to be HQ.
A high school diploma is a minimum requirement. Some college is desired. The successful candidate must be Highly Qualified (HQ), as defined by federal law. The HQ status is achieved by either passing the Praxis Parapro Test, which assesses general knowledge; by having a minimum of an A.S. degree; or having successfully completed 48 semester hours of college work.
Experience working with students is a plus.
