The Angad Arts Hotel, located in the heart of St. Louis’s Grand Center Arts District, is looking for a Catering Manager to assist our sales and catering team and carry our mission of “engaging the creative in all people” through to all aspects of sales and events in the hotel.

The Angad Arts Hotel is a revitalized 12-story property offers 146 colorfully inspired guest rooms, including 38 suites. The nearly 8,000 square feet of meeting space offers two exquisite private event spaces, the city’s most magnificent outdoor rooftop bar and Commonwealth restaurant on the main floor of the hotel.

Position Responsibilities:
As Catering Manager, you will be bringing awareness to existing and new clientele, as well as the overall markets. Maximizing the uniqueness within the property, showcase what sets Angad Arts Hotel apart from any other competitor and form lasting relationships.
We are looking for someone to think outside the box, utilize unique spaces and dream beyond the walls of each space. You will actively sell the space, while taking care of all the details from start to finish to ensure every event is as the guest envisioned.
Responsible for learning the hotel brand and strategy while communicating this with potential clients and maximizing uniqueness of the property.
Drive customer loyalty to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Identifies and solicits new accounts from intel gathered within the comp set and networking through appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries
Provides advice to clients on all aspects of hotel facilities and services when proposing and contacting groups and events
Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings when it is agreeable with the client.
Attends property specific receptions to generate leads and interact with customers.
Organize and execute local area blitzes and maintains active membership in local chapters of relevant organizations (MPI, ASAE, etc.)
Builds relationships with competitors in like roles to keep apprised of trends in the market
Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
Provide prompt and accurate responses to all client requests for proposals and information.
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals including predetermined revenue and sales activity.
Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of high school education, post-high school education preferred
Minimum of 3 years in hotel sales role, corporate experience required, association preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Outgoing personality
Always maintains a professional image through appearance and dress
Ability to work collaboratively with hotel service team in providing exceptional customer service
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to achieve sales goals
Excellent time management skills
Knowledge of Delphi highly preferred
Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
