About the team:
The Web Analytics team is responsible for developing and executing a standardized framework for the implementation of front-end tracking and measurement across Angi-owned sites and apps as well as managing the tools/vendors needed to support such a framework. We work daily with the stakeholders to develop, execute, monitor, and refine initiatives that drive tangible value to homeowners, service professionals, and Angi.
About the role:
The Manager of Web Analytics will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a best-in-class web analytics platform. This will include driving the strategy and implementation of front-end tracking and measurement on consumer websites and mobile apps as well as service professional websites and mobile apps. Currently, the primary tools being utilized are Adobe Analytics and Segment. This role will partner with key stakeholders in Engineering, Product, and Product Analytics to establish best practices, standard operating procedures, and clear lines of ownership.
What you’ll do:
- Create, socialize, and execute a strategic vision for a web analytics platform that is efficient, effective, and scalable.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a standard operating procedure for implementing front-end tracking and measurement. This could include, but not limited to, items such as a BRD (business requirement doc) and SDR (solution design reference). This will require collaboration with key stakeholders such as Engineering, Product, and Product Analytics.
- Grow, manage, and develop a team of web analysts to execute on the implementation and administration of the web analytics platform.
- Assess and determine the tools necessary to support a best-in-class front-end tracking and measurement ecosystem.
- Execute, manage and govern Adobe Analytics implementation. This includes, but not limited to, establishing and enforcing best practices when it comes to topics such as naming conventions, creating/maintaining calculated metrics, creating/maintaining segments.
- Execute, manage and govern Segment implementation. This includes, but not limited to, establishing and enforcing best practices when it comes to topics such as tracking plans via Protocols.
- Manage vendor relationships with the tools that support the web analytics platform such as Adobe and Segment.
- Develop and execute training programs so key stakeholders are educated on 1) the standard operating procedures for implementing front-end tracking and measurement and 2) the web analytics tools and their capabilities/limitations.
- Act as the point of contact for web analytics requests/questions
What qualities are we looking for?
- 5 years of experience implementing and managing web analytic platforms.
- 2 years of experience in people management.
- Strong experience with Adobe Analytics.
- Strong experience with Segment.
- Strong experience with tag management solutions.
- Superior analytical, problem-structuring, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and relentless follow through.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics
Compensation & Benefits
- The salary band for this position ranges from $110,000 - $130,000 and will commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
