Objective of this position: Seeking an experienced foreman to oversee, manage, and direct all micro-production processes to ensure smooth flow, correct product handling, labeling, USDA/HACCP compliance, and proper inventory management while engaging, instructing, and working alongside our amazing, hard-working team (11-17 employees).

What we do here: This fast-paced environment consists of (but is not limited to) ground beef & sausage processing, custom cutting of all protein products, specialized wrapping & labeling, and operating high-tech processing and packaging machinery.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a resourceful, energetic individual who is up for a rigorous yet very rewarding challenge. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing and food-safety experience (knowledge of meat processing, preferred), the ability to problem-solve and think outside the box, multiple years' experience managing and directing personnel (at least 5 ), familiarity with USDA guidelines and HACCP systems (preferred), and be available to begin immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with owner/CEO to facilitate and implement improvements and updates to current operating procedures
- Supervise production and warehouse team members providing guidance, training, direction, and feedback for optimum performance (11 to 17 employees, total)
- Supervise pre-op inspection & machine assembly prior to daily production for an on-time start
- Ensure team’s understanding of (and compliance with) all company policies and regulatory guidelines (including USDA, OSHA, DOL, EEOC, etc.)
- Be accountable to upper management for team’s adherence to manufacturing protocols, product specifications, quality guidelines, safety standards
- Ensure effective use of labor, tools, supplies, and equipment to maximize efficiency and capacity
- Routine hands-on monitoring of production/warehouse to identify and solve problems (e.g. equipment operations, processes, etc.) or escalate as needed
- Ensure orders are fulfilled on time in an efficient manner, and that all necessary product is staged and/or prepared for following day
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic / paper-based records of production data (in accordance with company programs)
- Daily/Weekly departmental reporting (i.e. production reports, attendance reports, training reports, etc.)
- Conduct routine safety meetings and quality audits
- Work closely with company HACCP/TQC Coordinator to ensure on-time completion of sanitation, maintenance, and quality tasks, as well as proper record-keeping and correct product labeling
- Participates in investigations (e.g. accidents, employee complaints, etc.)
- Provide assistance tracking a large inventory and rotating on a ‘Best Used by’ First-In/First-Out basis

Compensation Package:
- Salary: Starting at $65,000 / YR. or DOE

Employee Safety/COVID-19 policy:
Our employee COVID-19 safety measures include“Wellness Checks” for temperature monitoring, frequent high-touch surface sanitation, mask wearing (in production area), social distancing, encouraging employees to stay home when they (or a family member) is sick, requiring a negative COVID-19 test result before returning to work after sustaining a temperature over 100 degrees F. Strict sanitation procedures are in place for the production/shipping area. The front office is sanitized several times a day by front office personnel.
Customer Safety/COVID-19 policy:
Due to the very limited front office space, customers are not allowed inside the building at this time. Customers call the office phone when they arrive for their order, and the order is brought out to the parking lot for a curbside pick-up.
