SUMMARY:
This position coordinates all mentoring and sign language learning and provides direct instruction accordingly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Coordinate and provide mentoring services for families and students through the Community Outreach & Advocacy Department.
Coordinate and provide sign language instruction for CHS programs including community, family, you, and corporate partner classes and training.
Maintain and update sign language instruction and mentoring curriculums.
Track registration, enrollment, and pre/post-survey data.
Provide outreach and education on CHS and its programs.
Support Community Outreach & Advocacy staff as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
One year of direct service work experience in the Deaf community with a strong knowledge of community resources.
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), prefer ASL as a first language, and knowledge of Deaf culture.
Must own and maintain an operating vehicle, have a valid driver’s license, and be eligible to be an agency-approved driver.
