What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Assistant II position at AnMed?
Performs various routine laboratory functions in a precise and accurate fashion to assist the laboratory professional staff and to facilitate testing by receiving and processing specimens, performing clerical tasks, and or specimen collection as needed and performs waived and moderate complexity testing with appropriate training.
Qualifications: Must meet qualifications in CLIA CFR493.1423 to perform testing. Associate’s degree in health related sciences or Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology, Medical Laboratory Technology, or High school graduate or equivalent and Certified in Phlebotomy (with a minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience) or as Laboratory Assistant (minimum of 1 year Lab Assistant or pre-analytical processing experience). Experience performing laboratory processing preferred.
