Job Description: Financial Reporting and Planning Analyst

Role

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining the financial reporting structure of the organization. The position will support management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information; recommending action. Collaboration with the Finance and Marketing teams in addition to other business leaders is essential to success.

 

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the DRG Finance Director

 

Responsibilities

  1. Prepares financial reports by identifying sources of information; collecting, formatting, analyzing and explaining information.
  2. Assimilates and distills large quantities of both financial and non-financial information into concise, useful and meaningful management reports, with an emphasis on providing timely and accurate forecasts and financial performance reporting.
  3. Work closely with the marketing department in the evaluation of marketing strategies and plans and the review and analysis of information to identify patterns and trends.
  4. Provide observations and recommendations for improvements to program profitability, including but not limited to, evaluations of pricing practices, product costing and subscriber acquisition and retention strategies.
  5. Defines financial situations by completing quantitative analysis.
  6. Evaluates optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
  7. Recommends financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals.
  8. Assist in development and administration of the annual program budgeting and forecasting process.
  9. Maintain existing management reports as well as developing new reports to meet management needs.
  10. Special projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications


Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in accounting (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  2. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  3. Experience with Jet reporting and or Power BI a plus
  4. Good statistical analysis and critical thinking skills
  5. Strong prioritization skills
  6. Creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic environment
  7. Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  8. Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver on deadline
