Pay: $16.00 probationary wage. Increases to $17.00 at completion of training and a 90-day assessment period.
Summary:
A Direct Support Professional supports adults with developmental disabilities in living their best life. You will have an opportunity to work with individuals on their core life skills as well as community integration. Core life skills development may include health and fitness, personal care, and teaching skills like cooking or artistic expression. Community integration includes grocery shopping, taking clients to lunch, outings to the movies, trips to the county fair and so much more. Our team members are expected to learn and understand Another Option’s policies, mission, and the residential service guidelines upon completion of their training.
Part Time:
Part time employees for the agency will be offered hours dependent on their availability and desired hours. This could be a little as a single 4 hours shift or as many as 29 hours over a 4-day period each week. Offers of employment will be contingent on the availability discussed and successful completion of training. Once hired and trained, any part time employee can explore moving into full time hours or dropping down to relief as needed (with adequate notice and contingent upon shifts available).
COVID-19 precautions
All employees are required to wear facial coverings while on shift and protective eyewear while assisting in close personal supports.

Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must complete and pass a background check to include an FBI fingerprint check
- Per WA Proclamation 21-14, All employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Ability to drive - Valid driver’s license with driving record that meets agency requirements, and must be at least 25 years of age (if transporting residents)
Reports to: Program Manager
Shifts vary based on resident needs: (shifts usually fall within the following ranges)
- Day: ~6:00 am – ~3:00 pm
- Mid: ~9:00 am – ~7:00 pm
- Swing: ~2:00 pm – ~10:00 pm
- Graveyard: ~9:00 pm – ~8:00 am
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly'
We currently have Full Time, Part Time and Relief positions available. We provide all necessary training to successfully grow in your new position and obtain your Nursing Assistant Registry credential from WA state.
