Job Overview
The Anovia Health Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for operationalizing the daily accounting and related administrative systems of the Anovia Management Services Organization (MSO) and supporting the work of the lead accountant. Ultimately, the Accounting Specialists responsibility is to accurately record all of the day-to-day financial transactions of Anovia. The accounting function also plays an important role in ensuring that Anovia achieves its Mission, Vision and Values.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Complete tax forms
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Handle bi-weekly payroll
- Facilitate monthly invoice payment
Reports to: Anovia Health VP & Chief Operating Officer
Requirements and skills:
- 3 to 5 years of proven bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English
- Working understanding of QuickBooks, Excel and Google Worksheets
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Preferred at least an associates degree in accounting, finance or bookkeeping or a combination of education and work experience equivalent.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.50 per hour
