ANSER is actively hiring for a Correspondence Analyst to work full-time/onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA in support of the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense (ODASD(CBD)). The person in this role will provide input, conduct technical reviews, and edit all written communications for the ODASD(CBD). Additionally, this position supports overall staff action, workflow, and office management.

The person in this role will provide input, conduct technical reviews, and edit all written communications for the ODASD(CBD). Additionally, this position supports overall staff action, workflow, and office management.
Responsibilities
- Review and assist with the development of all written communications within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense (ODASD(CBD)) to ensure messaging consistency and compliance with format and grammatical rules.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Department of Defense (DoD) and Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (USD(A&S)) written correspondence requirements and standards, as well as staffing processes.
- Ensure all written communications comply with DoD and USD(A&S) written correspondence requirements and standards.
- Draft correspondence for the ODASD(CBD), as needed.
- Utilize the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) and other internal ODASD(CBD) task tracking systems, in support of the staffing and coordination of ODASD(CBD) written communications within the DoD.
- Provide subject matter expertise to assist action officers with CATMS and the development of correspondence packages (e.g., action memos, transmittal letters, etc.), as needed.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the ODASD(CBD), as required.
- Serve as a collaborative member of the operations and management functional area.
- Possess an active Secret security clearance or higher.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience OR 10 years of related experience.
- Experience working with DoD correspondence.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working with USD(A&S) correspondence.
- Recent experience with CATMS.
- Knowledge of and experience using DoD correspondence guidance, such as DoD Manual (DoDM) 5110.04, Volume 1, “DoD Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management,” and DoDM 5110.04, Volume 2, “DoD Manual for Written Material: Examples and Reference Material.”
- Recent experience with operations and management activities, such as records management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) reviews, etc.
