SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks Data Modeler to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support data modeling and data management processes for multiple ANSYS project teams.
- Analyze and understand existing data platforms, and the design, additions, and changes of an Operational Data Store (ODS), Data Warehouse (DW), and Master Data Management (MDM) models.
- Collaborate with business users and other IT functions to design, implement, and support end to end business processes.
- Perform Relational and Dimensional data modeling, and Master Data Management data modeling.
- Perform data analysis to profile and discover data and analyze data relationships.
- Construct and document data lineage and data mapping.
- Design and help implement data quality and data cleansing techniques.
- Document business and technical metadata.
- Contribute to data projects in an environment that includes both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms.
- Mentor business staff, developers, and team members on data modeling and data analysis.
- Publish and maintain data models and data information on a data portal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study, and five (5) years of experience in a related position.

Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- five (5) years of experience in data analysis and data profiling;
- third-normal form relational data modeling;
- dimensional data modeling;
- Idera ER/Studio or Erwin data modeling tools; and
- Kimball Data Warehouse methodology.
