What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP Talent Management and DEIB position at Ansys?

Executive role is responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and continuous improvement of all talent management activities. Scope includes leadership development, succession planning, change management, training and development, employee engagement, DEIB and organizational effectiveness to support Ansys growth strategies and business transformation.
Serve as a thought leader to the organization in delivering strategic talent agenda and supporting framework. Serve as a member of the Ansys Global HR Leadership Team to align strategy, solutions and services with business needs.
Scope includes 23 countries and 5400 employees globally. In collaboration with other company leaders, develop a holistic strategy designed to provide a consultative, strategically focused approach that supports the development, engagement and retention of a high performing, diverse workforce.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Establish global talent management strategy to support the growth trajectory of the business.
- Design and implement solutions for leadership development, succession planning, change management, learning and development, employee engagement, culture and organizational effectiveness and DEIB.
- Manage the succession plan for the business’ pivotal roles, with a focus on strengthening long term succession, and in the short term, help to ensure that they are filled with high potential leaders.
- Provide consulting services as a subject matter expert for HR. Oversee programs and activities related to talent processes and practices, including executive coaching.
- Build capability among HR business partners and line leaders in talent identification, planning and development.
- Conduct 360 degree and other related assessments with key leaders to include follow-up coaching and development plans
- Utilize Success Factors system for talent processes; work with vendors as needed to ensure tools and systems meet talent and business needs.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal/influence skills in dealing with all levels of management, develop relationships within the organization, and leverage the formal and informal organizational structure to assist in goal achievement.
- Develop project plans and manage to timelines and budgets.
- Manage the talent facets of all global M&A due diligence and integration
- Manage the talent and DEIB database and associated metrics, track metrics and dashboards.
- Manage diversity metrics and reporting, including government/EEOC reporting and returns on investment.
Specifications and Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Fifteen years progressive, related work experience including relevant experience in technology or adjacent sector.
- Key knowledge of the principles and methods of organizational change, leadership development, DEIB, succession planning, learning and development, and organizational development.
- Good understanding of business strategy with a foundational appreciation that business needs drive the talent agenda.
- Demonstrated experience in executive/leadership assessment and development, employee engagement, learning and development, DEIB and performance management.
- Previous experience in M&A
- Ability to influence change at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business needs into talent strategies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, trusting relationships with key business leaders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results.
- Strong analytical skills and high math aptitude.
- A flexible, customer focused attitude with a willingness to travel, as needed.
- Demonstrated experience in managing compliance to government requirements, like EEOC, AAPs, etc.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive metrics and reports; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and in person.
