Responsibilities
The Growth Specialist will manage territory base business and growth by promoting, selling, and supporting Antech Diagnostic services to Veterinarians.
The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience within the veterinary Industry and is dedicated to managing and growing their territory by promoting, selling, and supporting Antech Diagnostic services to local Veterinarians. Our Territory Managers not only know their business and the products we offer but are also deeply committed to the needs of their customers. We are all about developing solid relationships with our veterinary clients.
You will responsible for:
- Identify and grow underperforming accounts within the respective region by conducting sales calls to promote, sell, and service existing and potential animal hospitals, veterinarians and staff.
- Increase the recurring diagnostic revenue year over year in your territory as well as attain quarterly medical device equipment sales goals and objectives.
- Provide consultative selling by translating customer needs into diagnostic solutions, including consultation at staff in-services and veterinarian seminars.
- Collaborate and “co-sell” with Antech Territory Sales Managers.
- Educate and train Veterinary clinic staff about products and services.
- Educate and train Territory Sales Managers on how to identify and grow accounts regularly.
- Develop and grow partnerships with Veterinary practice staff to establish a solid base of new business opportunities.
- Fiscally manage territory by controlling expenses, contract and new business activity.
- Researches customers prior to site visits to obtain information and insight to anticipate issues and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Assist in establishing the company as the leader in animal lab diagnostics services and veterinary practice solutions.
- Coordinate daily support activities and customer activities at meetings as assigned.
- Complete administrative duties as required.
- Identify, target and acquire new business opportunities.
- Negotiate and implement contractual relationships.
- Utilize approved sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and internal resources to co-promote additional Antech services and products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Animal Health, Biological Sciences, Lab Sciences or Business-related field)
- 3 years of outside field sales experience
- Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of sales performance with a track record of prospecting, pre-call planning and closing deals.
- Ability to close new business within a short sales cycles
- Ability to execute sales strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Ability to differentiate core layers of business to separate Antech Diagnostics from competitors
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills; team oriented; conceptual/consultative sales skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Previous sales experience in a service industry, preferably in Animal Healthcare, Human Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Sales or Capital Equipment
- Previous sales award recipient due to strong sales performance (i.e. President’s Club, Rookie of the Year).
- Strong data analysis, evaluation and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Diagnostic Services
