Contract Administrator Sr.
In collaboration with HealthCore’s in-house counsel, the Contracts Administrator, Sr., reviews, triages, and organizes contract drafts from intake to final execution, and organizes and maintains HealthCore’s contract-filing system. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and moderating weekly contract status calls with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent must possess a high level of attention to detail, be highly organized, have strong verbal and interpersonal skills, and possess the maturity to manage high volume assignments and projects. The position requires the incumbent maintain confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion. The incumbent shall maintain a professional attitude in the performance of the day-to-day activities, and is expected to consistently search for ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative aspects of HealthCore’s contracting process.
Assist in the organization, administration and maintenance of all contracts
Day-to-day oversight of the contract administration process
Preparation and dissemination of information to appropriate stakeholders regarding contract status
Serve as liaison between in-house counsel, HealthCore’s business development team, HealthCore’s research teams, and outside counsel
Perform such other duties, functions, special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Associate General Counsel
Works independently and with internal and external attorneys to negotiate and manage contract lifecycle
Manages projects and/or participates in corporate initiatives.
Corresponds with state insurance departments, internal and external key stakeholders
Create database of acceptable language in standard contract language to reduce contract cycle time and create standardization in language and legal positions for the organization
Develop standard guidelines for basic contracting questions e.g governing law, payment terms, mutual language requirements, insurance, limits of liability caps
Create standard template language for contracts and negotiate with clients on use of paper in conjunction with legal/business
Analyze and research legal concerns as they arise- including thorough contract review of any disputes,
Monitor new requirements that impact existing book of business, evaluating trends that may impact organization (mergers of clients, new regulations).
Ability to review contractual language to identify the business vs. legal risks associated and provide guidance to relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS in a related field; 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Paralegal certificate or experience in high volume contract review, highly preferred
Thorough understanding of contracting lifecycle
Negotiation experience
Pro-active and independent worker that can evaluate workload demands
Strong ability to lead - ability to lead and drive discussions with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues and eliminate roadblocks
Detail oriented is strongly preferred as the selected candidate would need to track minutia of contract concerns- status and delivery times
