Manager II Customer Care

Location(s): Denver, CO, Woodland Hills, CA, Las Vegas, NV*

  • Will consider most qualified applicants from other West coast locations.

The Manager II Customer Care is responsible for managing staff and responsibilities for a combination of operations functions that might include claims, customer service, membership, mail, document management, appeals, etc. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishes policies, practices and efficient/effective procedures.
  • Develops specific work plans and implements to accomplish operational results.
  • Serves as mentor to lower leveled managers.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for other areas of the company as well as within the department.
  • Has accountability for deliverables of a third party or vendor.
  • Manages multiple functions requiring unique sets of knowledge or has significant fiscal accountability over and above routine people/equipment costs.
  • May be assigned to special project work consistent with the role and as dictated by the needs of the business; audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies; prepares specialized reports.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Annual Salary Range* Manager II Customer Care: $76,400-95,500

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.

  • The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.

Qualifications

Requires BA/BS; 3 years previous management experience in addition to 3-5 years operations experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • PIR escalation, HART or Claim Payment Appeal experience preferred.
  • End to end claim experience (life of claim) preferred.
  • WGS and/or GBD Facets experience preferred.
  • CSBD, Medicaid and/or Medicare experience preferred
