Title: CaregiverFLSA: NON-EXEMPTShift: Full Time 11-7 Job Summary:Assists residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks as needed and directed. This could include bathing, grooming, personal and dental hygiene, transportation to meals and activities, bowel and bladder functions (e.g., take to bathroom, portable commode, change incontinency products, etc.), shaving, dressing, hair care, and laundry tasks. All tasks and duties as described or documented in the resident’s service planProvides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering resident’s call lights in a timely manner; meeting the expectation of five (5) minutes or less, answering resident’s requests; reporting observations of the resident to nursing supervisor Responds to resident’s needs promptly while maintaining each resident’s self- respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentialityAssists residents in and out of bed and wheelchair as needed, following safe lifting/transferring techniquesAssists Engagement staff in carrying out planned activitiesDocument actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronicallyUses Universal Precautions and follows established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluidsServes and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, community policies and procedures, state and local requirementsUpdates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations and maintaining certification/licensureMaintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standardsAdheres to all mandated reporting requirements and communicates concerns to the person in chargePhysical Qualifications including: Walk/stand, sit, lift 20 lbs at least, carry, push, climb, bend, squat, twist or rotate, reach, hand dexterity, etc.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to work under pressure and relate well to the residentsCPR certification is a plusExcellent bedside mannerStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with an electronic health record systemBenefit & Perks:stRobust benefit plan offerings including Medical (PPO and HAS Plans), Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, HSA, FSA, etc.Employer Paid Short Term/ Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program401(k) plan with employer matchPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysCompany paid continuing education - 4 hours of “CARES Dementia Basics” and 4 hours of “CARES Dementia-Related BehaviorsDaily employee meal providedEmployee referral bonus programAnthology Senior Living is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
