SUMMARY
The Counseling Trainee at Anthony's Villa is responsible for supporting the delivery of counseling services to children and adolescents in the group home and/or community. Trainees may be eligible for Counseling Trainee (C-T), Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee (MFT-T), or Social Work Trainee (SW-T) status in Ohio.

SCOPE
The Counseling Trainee will report to the Director, Residential Clinical Services, and work closely with the clinical and residential staff. This position involves both direct service and administrative responsibilities, providing a well-rounded learning experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Support: Assist in providing direct support to clients in the group home and/or community, including individual and group counseling sessions.
- Assessments: Participate in the assessment process, gathering information and assisting with evaluations under supervision.
- Treatment Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Case Management: Support case management activities, including coordination of care and follow-up with external providers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and services provided.
- Crisis Intervention: Assist in responding to crises and providing appropriate support and intervention.
- Therapeutic Activities: Facilitate therapeutic activities and programs for clients, contributing to their overall well-being.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by Anthony's Villa.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties as needed, including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
- Community Engagement: Engage with community resources and stakeholders to support clients and their families.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director, Residential Clinical Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be eligible to obtain a Counseling Trainee (C-T), Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee (MFT-T), or Social Work Trainee (SW-T) license in Ohio.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
- Strong interest in working with children and adolescents in a residential care and/or community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
