Role Summary

The position will support Anuvu's development/connectivity team in Lombard, IL. It will focus on the air-side equipment that contains avionic equipment including: Server Management Unit (SMU), Satellite tracking system, wireless APs, High power transceiver and a Ku band modems. The SMU is a central component in the system running Arch Linux. It offering web portal services, video services, firewall, connectivity, and other backend services. Video services include IPTV and VOD content with CMAF DRM and HLS. Ground-side support as required.

Remote Options : 100% on-site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Experience in hardware prototyping - component selection, small to medium board complexity, enclosure fabrication, cable assembly and wiring, etc.
• Documentation - ability to draft ECO’s, BOMs, test procedures, outline assembly/fabrication drawings, test reports, etc. (no CAD skills necessary)
• Working knowledge in the following - RF, digital, analog, power, and system level electronics
• Familiarity with basic test equipment use - Volt/Amp/Power meters, Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Laptops, etc.
• Strong ability to debug and problem solve board level to box level complexity
• Ability to work with different functional groups - NOC, Engineering, QA, S/W, etc
• Willing to do occasional roof work (single story building) on satellite dish antennas, occasional nights at Midway to troubleshoot aircraft
  
  
  

What We're Looking For

• AS: Electrical/Electronics or higher
• 2 years working experience in similar industry and working with basic testing/electrical equipment.
• Good understanding of Linux and Cisco-like command line environments
• Basic scripting skills: Bash, Python
• Good understand of network traffic and tools: iperf, tcp/udp, dns, dhcp, wireshark
• Webpage automation test tools: Selenium, Postman
• Familiar w/ single board computers like Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone, ESP32, Arduino, etc.

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $ 70,000 - $85,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, certifications…etc.
