Primary Function
Responsible for the efficient operation of Manufacturing Department, the direction of the plant work force and the meeting of daily production schedules. Leads and coordinates activities of Utility Workers and Employees. Verifies correct manufacturing processes are adhered to. Works with other operators, engineers and quality personnel to identify and resolve potential customer issues.

Role Specific Responsibilities
- Enter all production related data in workbooks and SAP.
- Reassign employee tasks as needed to ensure production.
- Distribute Schedule.
- Record training hours for certified positions and assist Utility Workers with employee training.
- Ensure safety, quality and production standards are met.
- Assist operators with production changeovers.
- Assist in resolving any production issues.
- Troubleshoot production problems and make adjustments as needed. Contact maintenance as needed.
- Coordinate production during break times.
- Maintain daily production goals.
- Report and concerns or issues to Supervisor.
- Back up Supervisor as needed- completing employee time, absenteeism, and vacation paperwork or systems in a timely manner in absence of Supervisor.
- Develop and promote positive relations with employees through effective communication of company policies and procedures and adhering to Bargaining Unit Contract.
- Ensure implementation of the program to build depth and departmental rotation plans.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year related work experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience within manufacturing, leadership skills, understand basic principles of human resources and manufacturing process, ability to make decisions and the willingness to follow policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in the water heater, manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills via written and oral
