Account Executive

Aon is looking for an Account Executive for our Rosslyn, Virginia office location:

The role is for an Account Executive supporting Space Risk Management and Insurance Brokerage services. The candidate will initially be in a support role to senior account executives in the Rosslyn, VA office while learning the subject matter with the goal to take on full account responsibility. The candidate will ideally have some basic insurance background and/or Aerospace Engineering education/experience. Travel is required. Duties shall include but not be limited to:

• Client facing role
• Working effectively and cooperatively with our Space global offices (Washington, Paris and London)
• Negotiation, placement and administration of space insurance policies including developing bespoke policy language for each individual risk as required. Inclusive of developing policy loss criteria for each individual risk for both direct and wholesale insurance placements
• Global claim resolution support
• Develop relationships with the space insurance market
• Business development support
• Space insurance and technical database support
• Engineering team support
• Export Control Compliance

The candidate shall be proficient in all Microsoft platforms with a focus on Word, Excel and Power Point. High level math and communication skills. Bilingual capability is highly desired (French, Spanish, Chinese) but not a requirement.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
