What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at AOS Staffing?
Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
Pay: $16.71-$21.04
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Order parts and materials for ongoing repairs and projects.
2. Estimate materials and costs for carpentry projects.
3. Build walls for classroom and offices.
4. Repair drywall, plaster and masonry walls.
5. Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
6. Sketch drawings for building permits for new walls and doors.
7. Design and construct custom cabinetry.
8. Install doors, door jams and hardware.
9. Install and repair plaster and suspended ceilings.
10. Install and repair siding and gutters.
11. Install and repair vinyl, quarry, ceramic, laminate, and carpet flooring.
12. Install and repair windows and window treatments.
13. Ability to weld equipment and materials using arc, mig and tig welders.
14. Repair EPDM, slate, built up and modified roofs.
15. Plow snow using district vehicles.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-Fingerprint background check
-Tb test
-Family Care Safety Registry
-Minimum 3 years experience.
-Carpentry skills for the construction of new walls 3.
-Experience in general building maintenance.
-Ability to work from ladders and scaffolding.
-Must have a good attendance and work record.
-Must have a good driving record.
-Possess good human relation skills.
-Possess initiative and motivation.
-Willing to work over time for emergencies.
-Have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
