Training Specialist

We are searching for a reliable, innovative Technical Training Specialist who will be responsible for the development of training content relevant to the manufacturing processes of our organization. You will join our team of professionals and be responsible for conducting training needs analyses, updating and creating training content for multiple operating areas, facilitating training with new hires and seasoned employees on operating systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs analyses and assessments to determine what training is required to improve employee job knowledge and performance.
- Liaise with Production Engineers in the development of training content relevant to various processes
- Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
- Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as group discussions, or lectures.
- Ability to promote a positive safety culture and compliance with EHS procedures and regulations
- Coordinates employee training including new hire orientation, operator qualification, maintenance craft apprentice and specialty training programs, instructor led training, skill enhancement, refresher training, and fulfilling all regulatory and quality system requirements
- Coordinates Learning Management System
- Ensure that training material and objectives comply with safety standards and codes.
Required Skills
- Proven ability in the key areas of assessing training needs, developing, planning and executing training, and evaluating training effectiveness
- Knowledge and experience with instructional design theory and implementation
- Knowledge and practical experience in effective adult learning principles
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- AA/BA/BS degree in technology, education, training or other appropriate discipline
- ATD Certification
- Technical writing and documentation experience
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools
- 5 years of manufacturing experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
- Experience developing and delivering manufacturing related training
