The IT Financial Applications Analyst role will be a member of Apache’s Information Technology team at the company’s Houston, TX office reporting to the Financial Applications Manager. The role is responsible for providing business, technical, and analytical support for financial applications, including SAP FICO, SAP GRC, AFENav, Nakisa, OpenInvoice, etc. The candidate will focus on maintaining, supporting and ensuring system integrity in an integrated rapidly changing environment. This position requires a motivated individual with strong analytical skills.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Interacting with business teams to understand and troubleshoot issues, analyze potential resolutions, and test solutions
Responsible for SAP, AFENav, and Nakisa system upgrades and acceptance testing of new software releases including system configuration, testing, quality assurance and training of end users
Test SAP security authorizations and roles
Interface support and enhancement testing
Coordinate with vendors to test and implement corrections to existing functionality
Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications and facilitating design sessions with the business and technical teams
Document requirements to implement business process and technology solutions
Work with internal and external audit on documenting and validating SOX controls
Perform semi-annual user access reviews and segregation of duties reviews Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting or related field
Three or more years of oil and gas industry experience
SAP FICO knowledge required
SAP GRC knowledge is preferred
AFENav knowledge is preferred
Nakisa knowledge is preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project management experience is a plus Competencies
