Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Charlotte Commons! This apartment community has 264 units and is located in Port Charlotte, FL.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process. The maintenance technician reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Prepare vacant apartment homes.
- Complete property work orders while providing efficient, friendly service.
- Follow preventive maintenance guidelines.
- Maintain the physical asset.
- Use different skillsets: such as, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, etc.
- Teamwork to achieve property goals.
- Accept on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule).
- Follow safety procedures.

- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
- Position requires ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
- Must be able to lift or move 100lbs occasionally
- Hard worker
- Minimum one year of Property Manager experience
- Valid Driver's License with valid auto insurance
- Excellent customer service skills and a team player
- EPA CAMT preferred, but not required, will need to obtain within first 90 days of employment
- Facilities maintenance skills such as HVAC, appliance, electrical, plumbing, minor carpentry, and painting.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
