Responsibilities:
"Ideal employee" is someone who knows the relevant industry content and can apply that knowledge to complete the tasks of their assigned job role.
• assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
• Be willing to take on other duties and assignments within the scope of your knowledge and experience.
Qualifications:
• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handle multiple priorities.
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Required to sit, stand, bend, and move intermittently throughout the day; lift and/or move, push/pull minimum of 25 pounds.
