What your day will look like:
- Oversees the sales of hotel, banquet, and restaurant products and services.
- Participates in preparing the annual hotel budget and develops marketing plans and action plans.
- Implements special promotions and packages to increase occupancy.
- Tracks market activities and competition, informing the General Manager and Director of Operations of significant changes.
- Engages with industry and civic organizations to promote business opportunities.
- Leads hotel sales department meetings.
- Conducts solicitation and service calls to promote and sell facilities and services.
- Contacts potential new accounts to expand business.
- Responds to customer inquiries and prepares proposals and confirmations for group bookings.
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure proper planning for events.
- Maintains customer account files and uses tracing systems to generate future business.
- Ensures proper use of all computer systems and follows company credit and deposit policies.
- Prepares sales reports and records activities as required; meets revenue goals set by the General Manager.
- Processes invoices in a timely manner and follows purchasing policies.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of related experience in sales or hospitality
- Proven success record in sales
