Currently seeking a hybrid Payroll Specialist to support our Bay Area locations. You will be a critical team member and key partner between onsite operations, management and employee services.
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing the company's payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position involves calculating employee earnings, deductions, and taxes, as well as maintaining payroll records and responding to onsite employee inquiries.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 300-500 employees
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonus, commissions, piece pay and other types of compensation
- Ensure accurate calculation and withholding of taxes and deductions
- Stay updated on federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
- Assist with preparing/submitting payroll tax filings and reports such as W2 and 1099
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
- Update payroll records to reflect changes in employee status, promotions, terminations and new hires.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Process and maintain records for garnishments, levies, and other deductions.
- Provide guidance, assistance, address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role
- 1 years of experience in ADP is required
- Service Titan software experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, regulations, and tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Position is hybrid. Must be able to work onsite (Pleasanton, CA) in an office environment 2-3 days a week.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The hourly pay opportunity for this role ranges starts at $28-$30/hr BOE. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
