The Ideal Candidate :
- Willingness to work with a supportive family in collaboration with both parents and therapists to provide opportunities for growth and development.
- Will recognize the benefits of living and working with their host family, ultimately making them stronger, more empathetic clinicians, educators, and professionals.
- Will be engaging, understanding and compassionate.
- Will support a behavior plan in place and assist with implementation.
- Will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Will be willing to learn and utilize alternative methods of communication including but not limited to American Sign Language (ASL), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices.
