What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master/Release Manager position at Apex Systems?
Apex Systems is currently hiring a Scrum Master/Release Manager to join a growing client in Greenwood Village, CO.
This position requires candidates to work in a hybrid onsite model.
You will join my clients backend development team to help with release management and and business partnership for back end development teams that support all customer facing portals. This role requires a multi-disciplinary background and is for someone that is proactive, asks the questions that people forget to ask, and that wants to make a difference by wearing different hats and interacting with multiple teams! There is also a lot of autonomy to steer your own ship in this role and find creative solutions!
Scrum Master/Release Management Duties:
- Running the releases for the back end development teams
- Work with production and DevOps teams on releases
- Coordinate between the dev teams to ensure the team that is creating the pipelines needs to do something and ensure they are transitioning to take the next step.
- Traditional project planning, breaking down dependencies, etc.
- Run Agile/Scrum Ceremonies
- Create WBS Program Plans
- Aligns customer experience with engineering solutions
- Aligns dependencies and prioritizations with upstream and downstream stakeholder teams
- Owns commitment of dates
- Track and communicate risks and issues
- Understanding of effort involved to complete an engineering task to be able to provide estimates
- Create and utilize metrics to improve customer experience, system reliability, and team performance
BA Experience Duties:
- Gather requirements and create user stories in combination with engineering leads
- Works with the technical lead on the team to talk about user flows, front end UI designs, how do we translate that into the API’s that their team needs to build
- Identifies and closes gaps in conjunction with engineering leads
- Clear, concise communication and status reporting to stakeholder teams and executive leadership
