Human Resource Manager - Jonesboro, AR

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources based in Sparks, Maryland, the Human Resource Manager, Jonesboro will be responsible for aligning human resources processes and solutions to meet the business needs of a facility which builds and delivers Crescent JOBOX, the leading brand of onsite and truck storage products. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and administering company HR policies and programs, serving on the Plant Leadership team, partnering with the Plant Manager and other key leaders to optimize plant performance and instill a continuous improvement mindset and aligning resources and technical expertise to meet the needs of customers now and in the future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and control the human resource needs while focusing on safety, cost, quality and productivity.
  • Ensure full compliance of all legal requirements and government reporting regulations, track and ensure compliance with corporate requirements, policies and practices.
  • Track and manage performance and development processes that prepare employees to meet current demands and growth goals.
  • Recruit candidates (internally and externally) who exhibit the highest potential to meet both current and future organizational needs.
  • Identify and develop talent using established performance review and talent planning processes.
  • Implement and manage compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain and motivate talent to top performance levels.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment, employee relations and engagement.
  • Proactively manage employee and labor relations including all disciplinary matters and terminations.
  • Ensure communications with client groups are effective; promote both relationships and interaction as a two-way process and contribute to reaching, recognizing and celebrating results.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ of progressive HR experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment required
  • BS Degree in Human Resource Management or similar discipline; Master’s degree in HR Management or business preferred, may consider 10+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of degree; SPHR certification is ideal.
  • Broad HR experience required, including solid understanding and experience in recruiting, compensation, talent development and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with proven experience in strategy development, critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Understands lean methodology; acts as a change agent to support and drive continuous improvement.
  • Professional maturity required; must be able to build trusting relationships at all levels in the organization.
  • Solid verbal written and verbal communication skills; an interest in communicating with data and building a business case to support an opinion.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Applicant Tracking Systems and timekeeping software is preferred; advanced knowledge of excel is ideal.
