Overview:
Hire HR Coordinator (HRC) will be responsible for contingent workers conversions to APL Logistics with the objective of 100% conversions. Additionally, HRC will develop a formal conversion program for all APLL CLS NAM facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Transition contingent worker request from Operations to HRC
- Create a formal template to standardize requesting staffing needs
- Coordinate interview/testing’s
- Create tracking or reports on contingent workers, conversion hours, attendance, badge/s, issue safety items, etc.
- Create formal program for contingent life cycle, to include onboarding, tracking performance (30-60-90),
- Partner with contingent worker upon conversion eligibility to convert to APLL.Partner with agencies to establish expectation on conversion program
Understand APLL recruiting process
- Responsible for releasing contingent worker/s
- Work with site and agencies on payroll questions or concerns, works with APLL payroll to enter them in UKG
Qualifications - External
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn timekeeping system, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent combination of some college coursework experience.
- One year previous human resources experience required.
- Previous experience with Dayforce and/or Fusion a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Required to walk distances to and within the warehouse.
