The Online Marketplaces Analyst is responsible for assisting with the operations of APMEX’s marketplace channels (eBay, Amazon, Walmart, etc.) and contributing positively to the Company’s bottom line. APMEX is one of the largest sellers on many marketplaces and generates hundreds of millions of dollars in annual marketplace revenue.
A day in the life...
- Marketplace Deals
- Work with the Product Management team, Purchasing team and marketplace contacts to identify products to promote Marketplace deals. Must be able to build relationships with various departments within the company and with external vendors.
- Price deals factoring in market conditions, competitor price points, replacement costs, marketplace fees, shipping costs and operations costs.
- Monitor the Company’s deals and work with the Product Management team and marketplace contacts as needed to make changes to deals.
- Track the competition by documenting key details of deals such as deal price point, deal size and deal performance.
- Marketplace inventory
- Manage marketplace flat files / csv templates. Must be able to manipulate large data sets.
- Add new inventory to marketplaces on a regular basis. Ensure that the Company is first to market on new products.
- Manage marketplace products with pricing and inventory. Verify prices are in alignment with current market prices and ensure that the necessary margins and profit goals are met.
- Marketing
- Drive all marketplace marketing activities, including segmenting customer base, choosing products to promote, and identifying when and how often to send promotional emails.
- Run sponsored product campaigns and promoted listing to bring extra visibility to products.
- Optimize category taxonomy, structured data and titles.
- Marketplace Maintenance
- As needed to keep information current, update policies, FAQs, product images and listing page html.
- Review Seller metrics and work with internal departments to ensure we are industry standards and hitting our SLAs.
- Reporting
- Report weekly revenue, margins and deal performance to Leadership Team and Product Management team.
- Reconcile marketplace invoices and ensure that the marketplace fees match what is in the Company’s system.
- Expansion
- Evaluate the opportunities of onboarding the Company onto other marketplaces.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance or Business Administration.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of ecommerce experience
- Experience in dealing with financial reporting, i.e. margin, sales, inventory preferred
- Experience in buying and selling on eBay, Amazon and/or other marketplaces preferred
- Experience in retail, financial, or coin industry
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams; Thrives in entrepreneurial environments with can-do attitude, ability to adjust quickly to evolving priorities and coordinate multiple projects at once
- Strong communication skills required: presentation skills, ability to build strong relationships across functions and silos
- Superior organization skills; Extreme attention to details combined with ability to see the big picture
Salary : $48,000 - $62,500
