Project Manager

Apogee Solutions, a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Project Manager to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in Washington D.C. Qualified candidates must have an active Secret clearance.

The Project Manager will be providing program management and documentation coordination support services for the USCG Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM). FORCECOM is responsible for overseeing all relevant USCG operation and mission support training. The Program Manager will oversee projects that assist with Program and Project Lifecycle Management, strategic planning and organizational transformation, facilitation, communication, reporting and documentation support, strategic communications coordination, operational analysis, and business process re-engineering.

The Project Manager will:

• Serve as a technical advisor on projects supporting the Human Performance Cycle such as ensuring uniform business management practices, business plan support such as quality assessments, and project management software training.
• Support the organization in defining and refining their mission, vision, goals, objectives, and priority of initiatives.
• Read and interpret government policy, regulations, and directives and apply these to activities in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Balance competing priorities and manage time constraints on aggressive timelines.
• Build professional customer relationships with FORCECOM leadership

Required Experience:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or a PMP certification
• A minimum of 6 years of experience supporting USCG projects in the areas of training, manpower, organizational structure, or doctrine development
• Prior experience supporting business process reengineering, highly preferred
• Hands on experience managing multiple projects
• Demonstrated understanding and application of project management methodologies and project management concepts
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and SharePoint
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communicator
