Overview:

The Site Supervisor will manage onsite projects, working independently and supervising small to medium scale field personnel work teams. The Calibration Technician is considered a working supervisor that specializes in repair and maintenance of paint machines specific to our certain retail customers. They are involved in the testing, the calibration, and the set-up of paint tinting machines in the retail environment. This role is crucial for achieving precise color mixes and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Work as in-store/onsite manager of Small to Medium-scale projects through all phases. This is a working supervisor role.
  • Establish and monitor administrative procedures for each project.
  • Initiate and maintain seamless lines of communication with clients to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact with customers and team members in a business-like and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in respecting the confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Possesses strong time-management skills, assuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when dealing with internal and external partners.
  • Oversee team and individual efforts and understand the principles and efficiencies of teamwork.
  • Use good judgment when assigning tasks to workers based on the employee's observed or known skills.
  • Providing periodic formal and informal performance development feedback as may be required for each work team employee.
  • Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with all members of field staff to manage difficult situations with a willingness to communicate with corporate leaders and divisional representatives.
  • Coach/train all levels of field personnel, including on-the-job training for team member certifications and career progression.
  • Ensure safety and always minimize risk. Following all company and customer safety practices.
  • Checks emails regularly throughout the day or as required by the work schedule to ensure all communications sent to the employee are received and acted upon to ensure a successful job. Responds to all emails as required.
  • Reviews schedule weekly and immediately reports any scheduling conflicts to field management personnel.
  • Communicate with project teams/field management personnel via daily email/field reports.
  • Ability to provide honest, straightforward feedback when rating/reviewing submitted daily field reports.
  • Complete appropriate records of activity, including but not limited to “Sign Offs”, pictures, reports, and other deliverables. Must provide daily recaps of work completed to field management personnel.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping within the company’s reporting systems daily for assigned team(s).
  • Coordinating the employee time recording process and assuring time information is properly formatted and transmitted to the Field Management team.
  • Review their timecard in the Company's online timekeeping system and report any discrepancies to the Field management team by the end of that work week to allow for payroll to process.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and distributed appropriately. Plan projects, develop and organize all information and reporting.
  • Placing manufacturer products on shelves within retail establishments in a neat and orderly manner in strict accordance with specifications, Plan-O-Grams, pictures, or other instructions provided.
  • Placing Point of Purchase (POP) information, signage, stickers, or other required materials under specific guidelines to aid in merchandising the manufacturer's products.
  • Communicating with the Project Manager, Field management team, and fellow team members as required to receive and carry out special instructions for completing the setup of the store environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify specific issues related to paint tinting machines.
  • Ability to test and calibrate paint tinting machines to ensure they dispense accurate amounts of paint and additives according to specific formulas.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and components to correct any discrepancies in color mixing or dispensing.
  • Ability to physically remove existing paint machines and install new machinery.
  • Ability to recognize potential safety hazards related to the handling of paint and paint products.
  • Must be ready to handle and clean hazardous spills quickly and safely as necessary.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to recognize and deal with priorities, which assures maximization of customer satisfaction and revenue attainment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment regarding escalating issues that are beyond the scope and control of this position on time.
  • Seek guidance and direction from appropriate members within the organization or from other outside sources required in the performance of responsibilities and duties.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning in investigating and solving problems associated with meeting company objectives for areas and accounts assigned.
  • Spends reasonable additional time beyond normal working hours as may be required to meet project demands.
  • Uses available time during any workday wisely and productively to maximize work efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver's license. Having reliable transportation available to get to work locations on time is essential.
  • Strong computer skills (including Excel, Word, and Outlook are required) and must be comfortable with Smart phone devices.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED equivalent is strongly preferred. Proven educational development beyond high school in areas of business management and/or project administration in a retail setting is also strongly preferred. Education requirements may be waived in place of proven on-the-job experience.
  • The ability to follow instructions and diagrams, such as Plan-O-Grams, RIGs, Training videos, and Blueprints or layouts, is an essential component of work carried out by this person.
  • 3 years of experience managing field operations onsite for retail services companies.
  • A firm understanding of testing and calibration equipment, mechanical and electronic controls, and setup/teardown of Paint mixing equipment Retail Industry. This may include instruments, devices and gauges that require precision calibration.
  • Troubleshooting and/or diagnosing onsite complications to ensure accurate machine set up resulting in paint mixing and color matching.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with machines and paint formulations swiftly and effectively.
  • The ability to use hand tools and most power tools is necessary. Must own basic hand tools and some power tools.
  • Great written, oral and electronic communication skills—people skills are critical. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and across functional teams.
  • Always present a high level of professionalism while dealing with customer and employer concerns.
  • Transmit reports on project progress, evaluations, hours, and any issues.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and execute with limited or no supervision.
  • Possesses exceptional time-management skills, assuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • This position is Variable Full Time Hours. Projects can range from 0-40 hours per week based on volume. Overtime will be available on designated projects.

$20-$22 per hour
