As our Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) you will be a valued leader at our high growth, private equity backed business that is an essential supplier to many of the largest retailers in the world and a growing eCommerce channel. In this opportunity you will be accountable for developing, executing, and improving FP&A business processes.
With a mix of strategic and tactical responsibilities, this opportunity will allow you to expand your skillset and see results of your efforts real-time. You will be well supported and work alongside talented teammates to take the business and your career to the next level. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, have sharp intellect and deep passion for financial planning activities, especially sales revenue forecasting. The ability to prioritize, efficiently execute on tight timelines, and be results-oriented is critical to the position. If you have worked in an FP&A capacity at another CPG company and used business intelligence tools, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role the incumbent will:
- Develop, manage, and execute the FP&A processes in partnership with senior leadership
- Support eCommerce and Brick/Mortar teams in the development of sales forecast and associated activities
- Utilize Data Warehouses tools to manipulate data set outputs into executive level analyses to result in better business decisions
- Develop and maintain business scorecard/KPIs
- Participate in preparation of monthly/quarterly Board of Director reporting
- Assist and support continuous improvement projects to drive process improvements
- Other duties as beneficial to APL
Qualifications Experience:
We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred
- 5 years of progressing FP&A experience, consumer products or retail industry experienced highly desired
- Results-oriented, organized, efficient and resourceful team player that excels in a dynamic environment
- Superior analysis and problem-solving skills; critical thinker with strategic curiosity
- Strong management and leadership skills, with an excitement to both roll up your sleeves and be a thoughtful, company-wide partner
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines
- Strong technical proficiency in a range of system including MS Office and BI tools
- This position requires an individual who is comfortable owning key processes and serving as a primary point of contact, with the confidence and foresight to raise issues, as they develop
- Excellent communicator – can ask the right questions for most efficiency of team and time
