Regional Supply Managers oversee service providers for logistics operations related to inbound/outbound transportation, distribution, and/or post sales returns. Key Qualifications
- Experience in world-class logistics operations with an emphasis on Ocean freight transportation
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement projects and strong track record of customer service
- Should be systems literate in Transportation Mgmt Systems and/or ocean freight management software, as well as possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in dynamic, cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment while demonstrating a strong work ethic and a high degree of flexibility
- Up to 15% travel required
Description
•Ownership of supplier relationships and performance for ocean freight in support of the Americas region. •Identify areas for process improvement and innovation; investigate problems, find root causes, and develop solutions. •Prioritize and multi-task effectively to provide strategic and tactical support for projects, including capital planning initiatives. •Monitor key performance indicators, drive performance, optimize our ocean network, and manage cost. •Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measuring, reporting, and analyzing our ocean transportation. •Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders as a representative of logistics.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Prior experience in jobs operating in complex supply chains, vendor management, and international transportation experience is desired.
