Apple's Exploratory Design is seeking for an applied physicist. The new hire will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to enable differentiating technologies for products that will delight and inspire millions of Apple's customers.
Key Qualifications
- Background in optics and materials.
- Experience in quantum devices.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Ability to define development strategies for new devices.
- Knowledge of computing, fabrication, characterization, and chemistry.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on deadlines in a supportive environment.
- Attention to detail and resolution to solve complex problems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Description
Explore the design, simulation, development, and implementation of novel devices, leveraging quantum mechanics, device physics, materials, and process innovations.

Education & Experience
B.S. with 3 years experience. M.S., or Ph.D. preferred in applied physics, EE, and related fields.

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
