Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to create world-class communications. The Design Team is responsible for the design and art direction of all core communications, including product launches and seasonal campaigns across Retail, Channel, Packaging, Keynote, and Events. Working in a highly collaborative manner, the Design Team works to define and evolve the look and feel of all Apple product art direction, through the focus of experimentation, critical thinking, and extraordinary attention to detail. As a Writer on the team, you be an integral member of the process, creating innovative and compelling work from ideation to execution. For any given project, you may be called on to write headlines, both short form and long form product copy, or supply some fresh, creative ideas. And to bring these ideas to life, you’ll collaborate with a world-class Design team.
Key Qualifications
- 2-5 years at minimum as a copywriter. Client side experience a plus.
- The ability to collaborate well with Art Directors and Graphic Designers.
- You are a strong communicator that is able to articulate ideas in a clear manner, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback.
- Good organization skills to file work in a manner that can be shared with the team.
- Understanding of graphic design and design trends a bonus.
Description
You will be a vital part of the team — concepting, coordinating, and collaborating on product launches, event and branding identities, Retail campaigns and signage, packaging design, and special occasion projects. Work with Creative leadership and Product Marketing to craft launch messaging for new and existing Apple products. Partner with Designers and Art Directors to develop concepts and messaging for product launches. Write headlines in the Apple voice that are unexpected, fresh, distinctive, and push the brand forward. Create body copy that’s simple and understandable, but also inspiring and unmistakably Apple. Become really knowledgeable about the latest Apple products, solutions, and related technologies. Work to turn technical features into meaningful customer benefits.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
