Job Summary
Provides courteous service to guests. Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with the responsible service of alcohol. Serves food and drinks to guests at the bar in a timely manner. Helps to ensure that guest experience and environment is positive.
Essential Functions
1.Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
2.Interact verbally with all bar guests, creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
3.Serve food and drinks to bar guests and clear dishes and glasses from bar.
4.Present guest checks to bar patrons.
5.Make correct change and/or complete any necessary charge card transactions.
6.Process employee and/or manager food orders.
7.Relay orders to service bar and kitchen via point-of-sale computerized register system.
8.Setting, clearing, maintaining and cleaning the bar and all tables that you service.
9.Complete a nominal amount of guest readiness duties such as stocking glasses and maintaining overall bar presentation. If any of the guest readiness duties your job entails takes up more than 15% of your shift, you must inform a manager immediately.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
1.Stand during entire shift.
2.Withstand regular immersion of hands in water.
3.Pick up glass racks cases up to 25 pounds (such as a case of beer) approximately 15 times per shift.
4.Remain stationary for long periods of time during shift.
5.Reach, bend, stoop, perform repetitive movements, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
