Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled HR Generalist to manage the daily operations of our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, leave administration, and enforcing HR policies and practices.
This role is vital in ensuring a compliant and positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct background checks, verify employee eligibility, and lead new hire orientations and recognition programs.
- Administer and execute HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, workman’s compensation, disciplinary actions, performance management, and employee development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring all HR practices comply with regulations.
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Perform audits to ensure accuracy in employee records, including benefits, PTO, and training certifications.
- Lead and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and maintain compliance with legal standards.
- Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, and new technologies.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- 3-5 years of human resources experience (preferred).
- PHR / SPHR certification (preferred).
