As an JMOD Systems Engineer on our team, you’ll work with our federal clients to enforce the of security designs of systems and architectures:
Perform continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems. Provide engineering support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client systems and network devices. Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing escalated trouble tickets and service tasks. Guide users in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Revise existing systems, testing functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintaining more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input requirements, and storage. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation. Provide the documentation, testing, and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations. Attend weekly meetings and providing status reports.
This is an opportunity for you to be a part of a team charged with hands-on testing, verifying, creating, and building out new configurations in the Modernization Lab before introduction into the live environment.
This position is in the nation’s capital city, Washington D.C.
What You Have Accomplished
- 8 years of experience as a Systems Engineer
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including Granting Privileged Access, Configuring Active Directory Services (ADDS), Group Policy, Objects, Domain Name
- System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), File Sharing services, Active roles Server (ARS)
- Experience creating quality Detailed Design documents, Test Plans, Implementation Plans and/or Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience with Unix, Windows, and/or Storage
- Strong ability to work with others and be a positive influence and role model in a fast-paced dynamic team environment is required
- Possession of skills to manage exceptionally complex, inter-disciplinary, and inter-organizational task
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification
